Air Arabia launches new direct flights from Sharjah to Sochi
Six weekly flights now connect the emirates with Russia’s Black Sea resort city
DUBAI: Air Arabia has officially launched its new route to Sochi, Russia, offering six weekly flights from Sharjah International Airport.
This move makes Sochi the sixth Russian city in the airline’s growing network, which already includes Moscow, Kazan, Samara, Ufa and Yekaterinburg.
With this new service, Air Arabia continues to strengthen its presence in Russia while reinforcing the UAE’s aviation links with the country. Passengers flying from Sochi will now benefit from convenient onward connections to destinations across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, said: “We are glad to inaugurate our non-stop flights to Sochi, further strengthening our connectivity with Russia. This expansion not only provides our customers with a convenient and affordable air travel option between the UAE and Russia but also boosts tourism and trade ties between both nations.”

Sharjah to Sochi
Sochi, a popular resort city on the Black Sea, now becomes accessible from Sharjah – the third UAE city linked to Sochi Airport’s network after Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The new route is expected to support the city’s development as an international hub, attracting foreign visitors and enhancing travel options for Russian citizens.
UAE-Russia ties
Alexey Starostin, CEO of Aerod (the managing company of Sochi Airport), highlighted the growing appeal of the UAE for Russian travellers, calling the new connection a testament to the strengthening ties between the two nations.
Air Arabia now operates flights to Russia from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, underlining its commitment to expanding travel opportunities across both regions.
