DUBAI – Dubai-based fragrance house Ajmal Dubai has announced Indian actor Ranveer Singh as its new brand ambassador across the UAE and India.

The collaboration brings together one of cinema’s most dynamic personalities with a heritage perfume brand rooted in Arabian craftsmanship. Known for his bold screen presence and distinctive style, Singh’s appointment aligns with the brand’s emphasis on individuality and self-expression through scent.

The announcement marks a significant step in Ajmal Dubai’s ongoing global expansion strategy, as it seeks to connect with wider audiences through a contemporary narrative. The campaign introduces Singh, who is celebrating the success of Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar as the face of three of the brand’s signature fragrances, each reflecting a different dimension of personality and modern elegance.

Signature scents

The campaign showcases Aristocrat, Aurum Summer and Wisal Layl as its centrepieces. Aristocrat is described as a woody-fresh masculine fragrance layered with subtle oud notes, designed to convey depth and structure. Aurum Summer, positioned as a unisex scent, blends fruity and floral accords to evoke warmth and vibrancy. Wisal Layl, meanwhile, leans towards a richer woody profile, crafted for more intimate and memorable settings.

Together, the trio is intended to capture a spectrum of moods and expressions, reinforcing the idea that fragrance can mirror different facets of identity. The selection also reflects Ajmal Dubai’s broader portfolio, which merges traditional Arabian perfumery with contemporary global influences.

Brand vision

Speaking on the collaboration, Ranveer Singh highlighted the brand’s heritage and philosophy, noting its focus on craftsmanship and the personal nature of scent. He described the partnership as a natural fit, with each fragrance representing distinct elements such as confidence, energy and intimacy.

Abdulla Ajmal, Chief Executive Officer of Ajmal Group, emphasised that Singh’s role extends beyond representation, positioning him as a creative collaborator in the campaign. He noted that the initiative combines over 75 years of perfumery expertise with modern storytelling, underscoring the concept of “unseen power” expressed through fragrance.

Ajmal Dubai also confirmed plans to expand its global footprint further, with flagship stores scheduled to open in London, Shanghai and New York next year.

Founded on traditional perfume oil crafting, Ajmal has evolved into a fully integrated fragrance house encompassing manufacturing, distribution and retail. Today, it operates more than 350 exclusive showrooms worldwide, with distribution spanning over 60 countries and a presence across 80-plus duty-free and travel retail locations. The brand remains particularly recognised for its expertise in oud-based compositions, a cornerstone of Arabian perfumery heritage.
