UAE announces petrol and diesel prices for March 2026
New rates come into force from March 1
ABU DHABI – The UAE Fuel Price Committee has approved the retail fuel prices for March 2026, setting updated per-litre rates for petrol and diesel across the country.
The revised tariffs will take effect from March 1. The announcement follows the committee’s regular monthly review of fuel prices, which have been subject to deregulation since 2015.
New fuel prices
Under the new structure, motorists will pay Dh2.59 per litre for Super 98 petrol, Dh2.48 for Special 95, and Dh2.40 for E-Plus 91. Diesel has been priced at Dh2.72 per litre for March.
The March rates mark an increase compared to February 2026. In February, Super 98 was priced at Dh2.45 per litre, while Special 95 stood at Dh2.33 and E-Plus 91 at Dh2.26. Diesel had been set at Dh2.52 per litre.
From March 1, Super 98 will rise by 14 fils per litre to Dh2.59. Special 95 will increase by 15 fils to Dh2.48, and E-Plus 91 will climb by 14 fils to Dh2.40. Diesel will see a 20 fils increase, moving from Dh2.52 to Dh2.72 per litre.
The adjustments apply uniformly across all emirates.
Monthly review
The UAE deregulated fuel prices in August 2015, linking domestic retail rates to global oil market movements. Since then, the Fuel Price Committee has met each month to review and announce updated prices based on international benchmarks and operating costs.
In January 2026, the three petrol variants recorded a slight dip compared to December 2025. February then marked the second consecutive month of downward movement in retail fuel prices. The March revision reverses that trend, with all categories registering an increase.
The monthly pricing mechanism is designed to reflect shifts in global supply and demand, crude oil prices, and refined product costs.
