Visitor numbers soared 67 percent during the record-breaking sixth season
Dubai Safari Park has officially announced it will close its gates for the summer from Sunday, June 1, 2025, marking the conclusion of its sixth and most successful season yet.
Home to more than 3,000 animals representing 78 mammal species, 50 types of reptiles, and 111 kinds of birds, the park has firmly established itself as one of the UAE’s premier destinations for wildlife enthusiasts.
The announcement follows a remarkable season in which visitor numbers soared by an impressive 67 percent compared to previous years.
Season 6 highlights
This year’s biggest highlight was the park’s first-ever nocturnal safari experience, launched for a limited four-week run. Every session of the night-time adventure sold out, making it one of the most talked-about attractions of the season. Dubai Safari Park also recorded a significant milestone on the conservation front, celebrating the births of a rare white rhino calf and twin moon bear cubs.
In addition to these milestones, more than 40,000 students visited the park during the season, underlining its role in wildlife education and awareness. Ahmad AlKhoori, head of specialised parks and recreational facilities at Dubai Municipality, said he was particularly proud of inspiring the younger generation through these visits.
Focus on conservation
Every ticket purchased at Dubai Safari Park continues to contribute to conservation initiatives, both locally and globally. A portion of the proceeds supports efforts to protect endangered species, including the critically endangered white rhino. Before closing its doors, the park will also observe World Rhino Day on Thursday, May 1, 2025, shining a spotlight on ongoing global efforts to conserve rhino populations.
Unlike summer 2024, when limited visitor access was offered, the park will fully close this year to prioritise animal welfare and facility upgrades. This strategic closure ensures that the animals are well cared for during the hotter months and that the park is prepared for an even bigger reopening.

Dubai Safari Park is set to reopen for its seventh season on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Visitors can look forward to new activations and refreshed experiences, promising the biggest and most exciting season yet. The team behind Dubai Safari Park is working to introduce new attractions designed to enhance the visitor journey even further.
Entry prices start from Dh50 for adults and Dh20 for children aged three to twelve. Dubai Safari Park is located in Al Warqa 5 and operates daily from 9AM to 4.30PM, with the park closing at 6PM.
