DUBAI – The UAE’s aviation sector continues to demonstrate resilience, with major carriers maintaining and expanding their global footprint despite ongoing regional disruptions.
As of March 30, airlines are collectively serving more than 250 destinations across continents, ensuring connectivity between the Middle East and key international markets.
While flight schedules remain reduced due to airspace restrictions linked to the regional conflict, operations by Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai and Air Arabia continue to cover major hubs and popular travel corridors. Industry recovery has been gradual, yet steady, with airlines balancing operational constraints alongside growing passenger demand.

Emirates
Dubai-based Emirates continues to operate one of the world’s largest international networks, serving around 140 destinations across six continents. Its expansive reach spans Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia, reinforcing its position as a global connector.

South Asia remains a core market, with extensive coverage across India and Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore and Mumbai.
The airline’s presence across East and Southeast Asia features major destinations such as Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo, alongside Australian cities including Sydney and Melbourne. In Europe, Etihad connects Abu Dhabi with leading capitals such as London, Paris, Rome and Vienna.
Its transatlantic network includes major US and Canadian gateways such as New York, Chicago, Toronto and Washington, supporting both business and leisure travel demand.

Low-cost carrier flydubai continues to play a crucial role in connecting underserved and regional markets, with a growing network across Africa, Central Asia, Europe and South Asia. The airline’s route map reflects a strong focus on point-to-point connectivity, linking Dubai with emerging and secondary destinations.
In Africa, flydubai serves cities such as Addis Ababa, Entebbe and Zanzibar. Its West Asia network is extensive, covering destinations including Tehran, Baghdad, Beirut and multiple cities in Saudi Arabia.
The airline’s South Asian operations include major hubs such as Karachi, Lahore, Dhaka and Kathmandu, while its Central Asian network spans cities including Almaty, Tashkent and Bishkek.
European destinations form a significant part of flydubai’s network, with routes to cities such as Prague, Budapest, Naples and Belgrade, alongside seasonal leisure destinations including Mykonos and Santorini.
Air Arabia
Sharjah-based Air Arabia continues to operate a limited but strategic network, subject to regulatory approvals and operational conditions. The airline connects the UAE with destinations across Africa, West Asia, South Asia and parts of Europe, while maintaining a cautious approach amid ongoing disruptions.
Its African network includes Cairo, Casablanca and Nairobi, while West Asia routes connect cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Beirut and Muscat. In South Asia, Air Arabia serves a wide range of destinations including Karachi, Lahore, Dhaka and multiple Indian cities.
The airline has confirmed that limited flights are operating from Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah to select destinations until April 15, 2026. These include cities across countries such as Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bangladesh.
Passengers affected by cancellations are eligible for flexible options, including one free date change within 30 days, a full credit voucher or a full refund to the original form of payment. Bookings can be managed online for direct customers, while those using travel agents are advised to contact their providers.
