OneFit Gym set to host fitness event to raise Multiple Sclerosis awareness
DUBAI: This coming Sunday, June 1st, OneFit Gym in Jumeirah Village Triangle is set to host a unique fitness event aimed at raising awareness and funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The event, titled “Rowing For A Cause,” will take place from 10AM to 2PM, inviting teams of four to row a full marathon distance collectively on indoor rowing machines.
This initiative brings together fitness enthusiasts and supporters to challenge endurance and show solidarity with those affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).
How to register
Teams of four are invited to take part, with an entry fee of Dh200 per team.
Registration requires just one member of the team to sign up via the official OneFit link, after which the gym will coordinate with the participant to confirm the rest of the team members.
Spaces are limited, so early registration is recommended to secure a place. This event welcomes participants of all fitness levels, from seasoned athletes to casual gym-goers.
Event format
The challenge centres on a Team Marathon Row where each group will row a total of 42.2 kilometres collectively – the equivalent of a full marathon. Teams will take turns on indoor rowing machines, testing their stamina, teamwork, and determination. The event promises a vibrant atmosphere complete with music, refreshments, and motivational support to keep energy levels high throughout the four-hour window.
