DUBAI – Careem, in collaboration with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has announced complimentary Careem Bike rentals for all participants of Dubai Ride 2025.

The initiative supports the city’s flagship cycling event under the Dubai Fitness Challenge, aimed at promoting fitness, sustainability, and community spirit across the emirate.

Cyclists can unlock a free single-trip pass through the Careem app by entering promo code DR25, with bikes available from 3:00 AM to 8:00 AM on 2 November 2025. Riders may collect their bikes from Careem’s two pop-up stations – Entrance A: Museum of the Future (Trade Centre Street) and Entrance E: Lower FCS (Financial Centre Street) – or from any of the 200+ Careem Bike stations spread across Dubai.

How it works

The free passes can be redeemed by downloading the latest version of the Careem app, selecting the Bike option, and applying the promo code before checkout. Extra-time fees will be waived for rides exceeding 45 minutes during the promotional period. Participants must bring their own helmets and register via the official Dubai Ride website.

Careem has advised users to keep card details on file for security verification, though no charges will apply during the event window.

RTA and Careem collaboration

Hussain Al Banna, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency at the RTA, said the initiative highlights Dubai Ride’s role as “a cornerstone of the Dubai Fitness Challenge” and reinforces the city’s goal of becoming a bicycle-friendly destination.

Bassel Al Nahlaoui, Chief Business Officer at Careem, noted that this marks the fourth year of the company’s partnership with RTA for the event, emphasising its commitment to making cycling more accessible and sustainable across Dubai.

Sustainable impact

Careem Bike, launched in 2020 in partnership with RTA, has since become one of the largest electric bike-sharing networks in the region. Over five years, its rides have displaced more than 5.7 million kg of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to removing over 1,600 cars from the roads.

Dubai Ride routes will open at 6:15 AM and close at 8:00 AM, with many Careem Bike stations conveniently located near event entrances for participants’ ease.
