RTA records 8.2 million journeys across Dubai transport network during Eid Al Adha
Public transport sees heavy usage across multiple service modes
DUBAI – The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recorded 8.2 million passenger journeys across Dubai’s public transport and mobility network during the Eid Al-Adha holiday 1447 AH / 2026, between Monday, 25 May and Friday, 29 May.
The figures highlight strong seasonal demand across metro, bus, tram, marine and taxi services.

The system operated at high capacity throughout the festive period.
Metro flow
Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines carried 3.3 million riders during the period, while the Tram served 114,300.

Public buses recorded 1.73 million journeys, and marine transport saw 304,300 passengers respectively.
Shared mobility
Taxi services, including Dubai Taxi and franchise vehicles, transported 2.3 million riders.

Shared mobility options, including app-based vehicles, hourly rentals and Bus-On-Demand, recorded 402,700 journeys across the city during Eid period.
