Key bus route changes announced for Abu Dhabi commuters
DUBAI – Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced revised operating hours for public transport and key services during the Eid Al Adha holiday for 1447 AH/2026.
The schedule covers Customer Happiness Centres, vehicle testing facilities, Metro and Tram services, buses, marine transport and public parking across the emirate. The changes are intended to help residents and visitors plan journeys during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
A number of services will temporarily pause operations, while transport networks will continue running on adjusted schedules throughout the holiday period.
Service changes
All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed during Eid Al Adha. However, essential support will still be available through the Customer Happiness Centre in Umm Ramool and Smart Kiosks located in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, Al Kifaf and RTA headquarters, which will continue operating round the clock.
Vehicle testing centres operated by service providers will close from Tuesday, 26 May until Friday, 29 May 2026. Regular operations will resume on Saturday, 30 May according to approved schedules.
Metro timings
Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will run from 5am to 1am the following day on Saturday, while Sunday services will operate from 8am until 1am. Services from Monday to Saturday will continue from 5am until 1am the following day.

Dubai Tram will operate from 6am to 1am the next day on Saturday and from 9am to 1am on Sunday. From Monday to Saturday, trams will continue running from 6am until 1am.

Travel advisory
RTA has advised commuters to use the S’hail app for updated Dubai Bus schedules during the holiday. A key change affects Route E100, which will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station between 23 and 31 May 2026. Passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi during this period are advised to use Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station instead.

Marine transport users have been asked to check service timings through RTA channels.

Meanwhile, all public parking areas in Dubai will be free from Monday, 25 May to Friday, 29 May 2026, except multi-storey parking facilities.
