Dubai launches Dock & Dine with 20 marinas to boost yachting tourism
Free moorage and rapid booking enhance marina dining access
DUBAI is making it easier than ever for yacht owners to enjoy the city’s best waterfront restaurants.
The Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA), part of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, together with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has unveiled the Dock & Dine initiative.
The programme is designed to enhance short-stay yachting visits, reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading global yachting hub, and place the city at the forefront of the worldwide trend of seamless waterfront dining.
Dock & Dine
Encompassing 20 of Dubai’s top marinas and marine stations, Dock & Dine represents the most comprehensive marina dining concept in the region. The initiative also supports the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, to consolidate Dubai’s position as a premier international destination for business and leisure.
Dock & Dine offers a curated experience for yacht owners, crews, and guests to dock for a short stay while enjoying direct access to restaurants, luxury hotels, cultural attractions, and entertainment. Guests can sail between docks and waterfront dining venues, with a wide range of cuisines available within a convenient 45-minute to one-hour sailing distance.
Benefits
Among the notable benefits are free moorage at participating marinas, a rapid booking response time with reservations confirmed within five minutes to one hour, and direct communication with restaurants for advance table arrangements. Dedicated dock tenders ensure smooth drop-off and pick-up, while streamlined regulations have standardised procedures citywide, creating a consistent and hassle-free experience for visitors and operators alike.
Sheikh Dr Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, CEO of the Dubai Maritime Authority, said the Dock & Dine initiative represents Dubai’s forward-thinking maritime development. He highlighted that harmonised marina regulations and enhanced operational processes not only improve arrival experiences for foreign-flagged vessels but also ensure streamlined access and world-class service for yacht guests.
Peak yachting season
The initiative is particularly timely ahead of Dubai’s peak yachting season from October to April, when pleasant weather, calm waters, and a packed events calendar attract thousands of international visitors. With more than 4,000 berths across its marina network, Dubai is equipped to accommodate a wide range of vessels, from small pleasure craft to luxury superyachts.
Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), said the programme is a testament to leadership that has transformed Dubai into a global yachting hub. By connecting marinas with dining experiences, the initiative enriches Dubai’s value proposition as a must-visit destination for yacht tourism, while reinforcing public-private sector collaboration to build a sustainable yachting ecosystem.
Where to dock
The Dock & Dine initiative includes 20 marinas and marine stations across the city: Al Seef Marina, Bulgari Marina, Creek Marina Yacht Club, Dubai Islands Marina, Dubai Creek Marina, Dubai Harbour Marinas, Dubai Marina Yacht Club, Jebel Ali Marina, Jewel of the Creek Marina, Jumeirah 1 Marina, Mina Rashid Marina, Marasi Bay Marina, Marsa Al Arab Marina, Palm Azure Jetty, Palm East Vista Mare Jetty, Palm Jumeirah Marina, Palm West Club Jetty, Port De La Mer Marina, Umm Suqeim 1 Marina, and Umm Suqeim 2 Marina.
Guests disembarking at these marinas will enjoy signature waterfront dining experiences that underline Dubai’s growing global reputation in gastronomy. The recently announced fourth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai features 119 restaurants, further highlighting the city’s culinary credentials.
