Watch: Dubai Fountain dazzles again with new shows and additions
Evening displays continue every half-hour until 11pm each night
DUBAI – Dubai Fountain is back in action after five months of renovations, reopening one of the city’s most famous attractions to delighted residents and visitors.
The world’s largest choreographed dancing fountain, set against the glittering backdrop of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, now resumes its daily performances with a refreshed look and a full schedule of shows.
The reopening follows the completion of phase one of essential upgrades, which included tiling, painting and water insulation to maintain the landmark’s elegance, safety and reliability. Crowds gathered early along Burj Lake as jets of water, illuminated by thousands of lights, surged into the sky to mark the fountain’s return.
Show timings
Emaar has confirmed that Dubai Fountain shows will continue in their popular schedule of afternoon and evening displays. On weekdays, from Saturday to Thursday, visitors can enjoy two short afternoon shows at 1pm and 1.30pm. On Fridays, the shows move slightly later to 2pm and 2.30pm.

The highlight remains the evening sessions, when the fountain comes alive in full glory. Daily performances take place every 30 minutes between 6pm and 11pm, each lasting around five minutes. Jets of water soar up to 140 metres, choreographed to classical, Arabic and international music, captivating audiences along the 30-acre Burj Lake.
Where should you watch?
Choosing the right vantage point is as much a part of the experience as the show itself. The Dubai Mall Waterfront Promenade offers direct, close-up views at the heart of the action. Souk Al Bahar, located just across the bridge, provides terraces where diners can enjoy uninterrupted sights of the fountain with their meal.
Burj Park gives a quieter atmosphere, perfect for families looking to relax on green lawns with the Burj Khalifa towering above. For an immersive encounter, the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk stretches 272 metres across the water, allowing spectators to stand as close as nine metres from the jets and feel the mist.
Another memorable option is the Dubai Fountain Lake Ride, where visitors can board a traditional wooden abra. Gliding across the lake as the fountain dances around creates one of Downtown Dubai’s most unique perspectives. Tickets for the lake ride cost Dh73.25 per person.

The area surrounding the fountain is home to a collection of world-class dining destinations. For elegant dining with prime views, Thiptara at Palace Downtown serves Thai and seafood specialities right by the water. Armani/Hashi at the Armani Hotel combines Japanese cuisine with a panoramic terrace overlooking the fountain.
Fans of Indian cuisine can choose Armani/Amal’s refined dining room or Mausam at Dubai Mall for a more relaxed setting, both offering breathtaking views of the performances. Souk Al Bahar’s Time Out Market Dubai is another lively choice, bringing together international cuisines with outdoor terrace seating just steps away from the lake.

While the return of the fountain marks a milestone, bigger changes are on the horizon. Phase two of the renovation, scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2026, promises to introduce fresh features that will further elevate the spectacle. Emaar has said this stage will blend creativity with advanced technology to deliver new, awe-inspiring performances for visitors.
