Air Arabia extends UAE flights suspension, halts Lebanon and Jordan routes
Limited services may resume with authority clearance
SHARJAH – Air Arabia has announced a temporary suspension of all flights to and from the UAE until 15:00 (UAE time) on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, as part of an operational update issued today.
The airline confirmed that additional route suspensions will remain in place across several regional destinations. Customers have been urged to monitor official communication channels closely as the situation develops.
Flights between the UAE and Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Iraq have been suspended until 5 March 2026. The carrier stated that these measures are being implemented in coordination with the relevant authorities and remain subject to ongoing operational and safety assessments.
UAE flights suspension
The temporary halt affects all Air Arabia services operating to and from the UAE until the specified time on Wednesday. The airline clarified that a limited number of flights may operate during this period, provided they receive the necessary operational and safety approvals from the competent authorities.
Passengers scheduled on flights that are cleared to operate will be contacted directly by the airline. All other travellers have been advised not to proceed to the airport unless they receive official confirmation from Air Arabia regarding their booking.
Regional routes
Beyond the UAE suspension window, flights to and from Lebanon, Jordan, Syria and Iraq will remain suspended until 5 March. The airline did not indicate specific service resumption times for these destinations, noting that decisions will depend on regulatory clearances and operational readiness.
The carrier emphasised that any updates concerning resumptions or schedule changes will be communicated directly to affected passengers via registered contact details.
Passenger advisory
Customers have been urged to check their flight status regularly through Air Arabia’s official website and to monitor their email accounts for notifications. Those who booked flights directly with the airline and are scheduled to depart within the next 24 hours are advised to visit the website to explore alternative travel options.
Passengers who made reservations through travel agents are instructed to contact their respective agents for assistance with rebooking or further arrangements.
Air Arabia has also requested customers to ensure their contact details are up to date via the Manage Booking section on its website to receive timely updates. The airline noted that it is currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries and asked customers for patience during this period.
The airline reiterated that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its highest priority as operational decisions continue to be assessed in coordination with relevant authorities.
