UAE-Jordan travel: Air Arabia launches new Amman route via second airport
Three weekly services begin from May 2026
ABU DHABI – Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new non-stop service to Amman City Airport, marking a significant expansion of its Jordan network.
The route will begin on 1 May 2026, offering three weekly flights from Zayed International Airport.
The addition enhances travel options between the UAE capital and Jordan, catering to both leisure and business demand.
New route
The service connects Abu Dhabi directly to Amman Civil Airport (ADJ), making it the second airport in the Jordanian capital served by the airline. The move complements existing operations to Queen Alia International Airport, where the carrier already maintains regular services.

According to Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, the expansion reflects the airline’s focus on increasing convenience and choice for passengers travelling between the UAE and Jordan. The dual-airport strategy is also expected to support tourism flows and trade links between the two countries.
Air Arabia network
With the launch of the new route, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will operate a total of ten weekly flights to Amman. This includes daily services to Queen Alia International Airport alongside the newly introduced three weekly flights to Amman City Airport. The expanded schedule offers greater flexibility for travellers, particularly those seeking alternative arrival points within the Jordanian capital.
The airline’s Jordan network is further supported by the broader Air Arabia Group, which operates additional non-stop services to Amman from Sharjah, reinforcing connectivity across the UAE.
Onboard experience
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates a fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft, known for efficiency in short to medium-haul travel. Passengers on the new route will have access to ‘SkyTime’, the airline’s in-flight streaming service, and ‘SkyCafe’, its onboard menu offering.
The carrier also provides its ‘Air Rewards’ loyalty programme, designed to offer value across frequent travel. Tickets for the new service are now available through the airline’s website, call centre, and authorised travel agencies.
