SHARJAHAir Arabia has announced the start of limited flight operations to and from the UAE, subject to operational and regulatory approvals.

The latest update marks a partial restoration of services across key regional and international routes following previous disruptions.

Passengers are now able to book available flights through the airline’s official website, mobile application, or authorised travel agents. Those affected by earlier cancellations may also rebook their journeys, provided they have not yet used their modification or refund entitlements.

Air Arabia flights

The airline’s restricted network currently connects the UAE, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, with a broad selection of international destinations. These include Bahrain; Bangladesh with Chittagong and Dhaka; Egypt covering Alexandria, Cairo, Cairo-Sphinx and Sohag; Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa; and Greece’s Athens.

Services also extend to India with multiple cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jaipur and others, alongside Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand and Turkey.

The resumption is being carried out in phases, with operations subject to ongoing approvals, meaning flight availability may continue to vary depending on route and scheduling conditions.

Booking options

Passengers are able to secure tickets through multiple channels, including Air Arabia’s official website, mobile app, or by contacting travel agents directly. The airline has emphasised that all available flights will be updated regularly as operations expand or adjust. Customers are advised to frequently check booking platforms to confirm seat availability and schedule changes.

Travellers who had bookings on previously cancelled flights can also rebook through the same platforms, provided they have not already utilised their change or refund options. The airline has encouraged passengers to ensure their contact details are updated in the Manage Booking section to receive timely notifications regarding their travel status.

What passengers need to know

For passengers impacted by cancellations, Air Arabia has outlined three primary options designed to offer flexibility. These include one free date change within 30 days, excluding the Eid travel period, a full credit voucher for future use, or a full refund to the original form of payment.

Customers seeking assistance with rebooking or refunds can access support through the airline’s chat service, where they may request to be connected with a human agent if required. Those who booked via travel agents are advised to contact their respective agents directly for processing changes or refunds.

Passengers who booked directly with Air Arabia can manage their reservations online through the Manage Booking platform, allowing them to select their preferred option for affected flights. The airline has also noted that it is currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries, with response times potentially impacted as teams work through requests.

Air Arabia has reiterated that the safety of passengers and crew remains its highest priority as it continues to manage and gradually restore operations across its network.
