UAE-Europe travel: Air Arabia launches daily flights from Sharjah to Prague
Non-stop service connects UAE and Czech Republic directly
SHARJAH – Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest budget carrier, has inaugurated its daily non-stop flight connecting Sharjah International Airport and Václav Havel Airport Prague.
Operated on the airline’s newly delivered Airbus A320neo aircraft, the service provides travellers with enhanced convenience, affordability, and connectivity between the UAE and the Czech Republic.
The launch was marked with a welcome ceremony at Prague Airport, attended by airport officials, local partners, and Air Arabia representatives. The event highlighted the significance of the new direct connection and emphasised growing business, leisure, and cultural ties between the two regions.
Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, stated: “We are delighted to commence our daily non-stop flights to Prague, a key European destination reflecting the growing demand for accessible and reliable air travel from the UAE. This route demonstrates our commitment to expanding our European network from Sharjah while supporting tourism, business, and cultural exchange.”

Sharjah to Prague
Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Prague Airport, added: “We are pleased to strengthen our connection with the Middle East region through Air Arabia, marking their return to our airport after five years. This new service, coinciding with the winter flight schedule, offers passengers broader options to travel to the Middle East and onward to destinations including East Africa, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Thailand, and Kuala Lumpur.”
The new Prague service complements Air Arabia’s growing European network from Sharjah, which already includes Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, and Warsaw Modlin. With this expansion, passengers gain an increasingly wide selection of direct flights across Europe.

Air Arabia operates a modern fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, renowned for their efficiency and comfort. Onboard, passengers can enjoy the complimentary ‘SkyTime’ streaming service and dine via the ‘SkyCafe’ menu.
