New Abu Dhabi-Assiut route expands Air Arabia’s network in Egypt

Passengers offered loyalty programme, in-flight streaming and affordable catering

DUBAI – Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the capital’s first low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of direct flights linking Abu Dhabi with Assiut in Egypt.

The new route will commence on 4th November 2025, providing passengers with a convenient non-stop travel option between Zayed International Airport and Assiut International Airport.

The service will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Egypt network

With Assiut added to its schedule, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi now connects the UAE capital with three Egyptian cities, alongside Cairo and Alexandria. This expansion strengthens air travel links between the UAE and Egypt, offering greater accessibility to passengers travelling to Upper Egypt.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said: “We are pleased to launch our newest service to Assiut, extending our reach into Upper Egypt directly from the UAE capital. This addition strengthens our network between the UAE and Egypt, offering customers more convenient and affordable options to travel between the two countries.”

The carrier currently operates a modern fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft and serves more than 30 international destinations. Plans are underway to increase fleet capacity and expand the route network before the end of 2025.

Passenger experience

Passengers can enjoy ‘SkyTime’, a complimentary in-flight streaming service, and ‘SkyCafe’, which offers affordable catering options. Air Arabia also provides ‘Air Rewards’, a loyalty programme allowing customers to earn, transfer and redeem points.

Flights between Abu Dhabi and Assiut are now open for booking through the airline’s website, call centre and travel agencies.
