New Emirates A350 begins Amman flights ahead of schedule
312-seat aircraft offers upgraded cabin features and connectivity
DUBAI: The Emirates A350 has officially touched down in Amman, launching regular service on the airline’s second daily flight between Dubai and the Jordanian capital.
The inaugural flight of the brand-new aircraft arrived at Queen Alia International Airport in the early hours of Tuesday, following an earlier-than-expected deployment.
Originally set to commence on 1 June, the A350’s launch was advanced by two weeks.
Flight EK905 departed Dubai at 22:10 on Monday and landed in Amman at 00:15 the next day. The return flight, EK906, took off from Amman at 02:05 and arrived in Dubai at 06:05 local time.
Emirates A350 features
The Emirates A350 is configured in a three-class layout, accommodating 312 passengers. This includes 32 Business Class lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 setup, and 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 layout. Designed for enhanced comfort, the aircraft boasts higher ceilings, wider aisles, and a quieter cabin environment.
Passengers in all classes benefit from the airline’s latest generation of in-flight entertainment, upgraded cabin lighting, faster Wi-Fi, and ergonomically improved seating.
Strengthening regional ties
Emirates has operated flights to Jordan since 1986, and the A350’s introduction marks a significant step in the airline’s continued investment in the market. The advanced aircraft enhances connectivity and supports tourism and trade links between Dubai, Amman and other global destinations.
In addition to the A350 on the EK905/906 route, Emirates continues to operate its flagship A380 on EK903/904 flights to Amman.
Growing global network
The Emirates A350 already serves six destinations including Edinburgh, Kuwait, and Mumbai.
The aircraft will soon be deployed to new cities such as Oslo, Istanbul, and Ho Chi Minh City. By year-end, the A350 will serve 17 cities worldwide.
