DUBAI Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 has returned with its most value-packed season yet, offering an incredible Dh20 million in prizes through raffles, promotions and exclusive shopping experiences across the city.

Running until 31 August, the annual summer festival promises residents and visitors the chance to win big – from luxury cars and gold to cashback, loyalty points and retail vouchers – simply by shopping at participating outlets.

Now in its 28th year, DSS continues to be a highlight of the summer calendar, organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE). This year introduces a refreshed schedule with three retail seasons: Summer Holiday Offers (27 June–17 July), Great Dubai Summer Sale (18 July–10 August), and Back to School (11–31 August). Each season features its own lineup of sales, surprises, and raffle opportunities to make every shopping experience unforgettable.

Citywide raffles

A major draw this year is the DSS Raffle Campaign by Dubai Shopping Malls Group, where shoppers spending Dh200 at participating malls receive a digital coupon for a chance to win one of nine Nissan Magnite SUVs. Winners will be announced every Friday through 1 September.

Jewellery lovers can look forward to the Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group’s DSS raffle, offering 30 lucky winners a 12-gram gold bar each. To enter, customers must spend Dh1,000 or more at participating jewellery retailers.

The Visa Jewellery Programme adds another sparkle to the festivities with Dh175,000 worth of prizes. Fifty shoppers who use their Visa card during purchases at selected jewellery stores will be rewarded with Dh3,500 vouchers.

Sales and surprise deals

DSS 2025 brings nine weeks of massive in-store promotions and online deals. Over 800 brands and 3,000 stores are offering discounts of up to 75 per cent. The Summer Holiday Offers campaign, running until 17 July, kickstarts the sales season with unmissable value on fashion, electronics, and lifestyle products.

Among the standout campaigns is the Lucky Receipt promotion, which crowns 10 winners from 10 participating brands each day for 21 days. With a spend of Dh300 or more, shoppers at outlets like Odora, Jawhara, EMAX, Chattels & More, Eros, Sharaf DG, Early Learning Centre, Flormar, Ecity, and The White Company are automatically entered into the draw.

Furniture and home décor fans can visit the first-ever Interiors Warehouse Sale, which runs until 5 July at Dubai World Trade Centre. Globally renowned brands such as Giorgio Collection, Michael Amini, Theodore Alexander, and Fama are on display, offering deep discounts on luxury items.

Loyalty and lifestyle

Customers can multiply their chances to win through participating loyalty platforms. The DSS AURA Millionaire campaign awards one million AURA points to winners shopping at Alshaya brands. Meanwhile, at Mall of the Emirates and City Centre malls, those spending Dh300 can enter the SHARE Millionaire draw for a shot at winning one million SHARE points.

Users of the Tickit app who pay via Visa or Mastercard will be entered into bi-weekly prize draws by making purchases at partner outlets. Every transaction brings an added chance to take home something extraordinary.

Mall activations

Mercato Shopping Mall and Town Centre Jumeirah have launched ‘Slide into Summer Surprises’, offering weekly prizes and a chance to win a grand Jetour T1 SUV. Shoppers spending Dh200 or more qualify for the raffle and weekly cash prizes of Dh10,000.

Dubai Outlet Mall is also getting in on the action, offering a season-long raffle for a Soueast S06 SUV to shoppers through 31 August.

At Dubai Festival City Mall, customers spending Dh300 or more can win a brand-new Polestar 4. Families visiting Mall of the Emirates can enjoy dinosaur-themed fun at Jurassic Café by VOX Cinemas until 23 July, complete with themed dishes and immersive activities.

The Ripe Market Indoor Summer Markets are making a return across venues including Times Square Center and Town Centre Jumeirah. These markets showcase local designers, food stalls, and creative workshops – ideal for those seeking a laid-back shopping experience.

Citywide experiences

City Walk is turning up the volume with live music every weekend, basketball-themed games in collaboration with Dubai Basketball Club, and Gahwa Beats pop-ups blending music and coffee culture throughout July.

Restaurants will also offer summer-exclusive menus and discounts as part of Talabat DineOut. Shoppers can enjoy value-packed City Lunch offers at participating eateries, making DSS 2025 not just a shopping experience, but a culinary one as well.

Over at The Beach, JBR, visitors can participate in weekly prize raffles at Pavilion, unlock special promotions through the Tickit Summer campaign, and dine at beachside restaurants with exclusive summer menus.

City Centre Mirdif’s Voyage Club transforms the mall into a Mediterranean-style retreat, offering access to games, seasonal treats, and DIY workshops for shoppers spending Dh200 or more. It’s an all-ages experience that combines style, entertainment and shopping in one immersive setting.

What's next?

The excitement continues through July and August. The Great Dubai Summer Sale from 18 July to 10 August will bring another wave of massive discounts across malls and retailers citywide. More details will be announced soon, promising even more excitement.
