City Walk hosts Dubai Police Carnival with live shows, VR patrols and family zones
Community event runs from 4pm to 10pm with interactive attractions for all ages
DUBAI – Dubai Police will open their Carnival at City Walk today as part of the ongoing Dubai Shopping Festival, bringing three days of entertainment and community engagement to one of the city’s busiest lifestyle destinations.
The event runs daily from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and is designed to welcome families, residents and visitors into a vibrant setting that blends fun with public services. From live performances to immersive technology, the carnival showcases how modern policing connects with the community in accessible and engaging ways.
Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness, said the carnival reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to open communication with the public and to creating enjoyable experiences that promote safety, trust and community happiness across Dubai.
Public services
A major draw at the carnival is the wide range of police and community services available for visitors to explore in one place. These include demonstrations of the Dubai Police smart app, registration and guidance for volunteering through the national volunteering platform, and information on home security services. Cybercrime awareness is being delivered through the e-Crime Hub, while Police Eye offers guidance on community reporting.
Visitors can also find support for lost and found services, enquiries on alerts and travel bans, and road safety resources through the Aman Roads platform, giving the public direct access to practical tools that are used daily across the emirate.
Live attractions
Entertainment and interaction take centre stage across City Walk with motorcycle and bicycle performances and live music by the Dubai Police Academy band. Police dog shows are scheduled to run alongside displays of luxury tourist patrol vehicles, giving visitors a closer look at how Dubai Police operates on the ground and on the move.
One of the standout attractions is an immersive virtual reality experience inside the Ghiath patrol car, allowing guests to step into the world of a high-tech police vehicle. Heritage displays also feature prominently, including a classic Land Rover, the Ramadan cannon, and special exhibits from the UAE SWAT Challenge, such as an armoured vehicle and professional diving suit.
Family zones
Families and children have their own dedicated spaces designed for creativity and play. The Makers Studio is hosting creative workshops, while interactive digital games, sports activities, puzzles and competitions are running throughout the day.
The Khalid Children’s Magazine platform is offering additional activities and gifts, adding to the family-friendly atmosphere that defines the three-day carnival. Alongside this, the Dubai Police Museum is welcoming visitors to explore the story of policing in Dubai, highlighting key milestones in security and technology and showing how the force has evolved alongside the city.
