UAE weather: Rain, dust and winds expected on Saturday
Temperatures hover around low thirties amid shifting coastal humidity levels
DUBAI – The National Centre of Meteorology has indicated that Saturday will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies across the UAE, with convective cloud formation developing in several regions.
These cloud systems are expected to generate rainfall over scattered areas at intervals throughout the day. Conditions are also likely to turn unsettled at times, with wind activity increasing and visibility reduced in some locations due to blowing dust.
Temperatures are set to remain high for the season, with coastal and inland variation shaping local conditions.

Weather outlook
The forecast points to partly cloudy to cloudy conditions dominating much of the country, with convective clouds building during daytime heating. These systems may result in intermittent showers across scattered parts of the UAE.
The highest temperature recorded on Friday reached 33.5°C in Al Dhaid at 14:30 local time, reflecting continued warm conditions across the northern emirates.
Tomorrow, temperatures are expected to peak around 33°C in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, while Dubai and Sharjah are likely to see highs near 32°C.
Cooler readings are expected in coastal and island areas, including 28°C in Dalma and 27°C around Abu Musa and the Greater and Lesser Tunbs.
Overnight temperatures are projected to fall between 18°C and 22°C in most regions.
Wind activity
Winds are forecast to remain light to moderate, occasionally freshening as cloud activity intensifies. Speeds are expected to range between 10 to 25 km/h, at times reaching up to 40 km/h. The direction will shift between southeasterly and northeasterly flows, contributing to periods of blowing dust in exposed areas. These conditions may temporarily affect visibility, particularly in open desert and inland locations, as atmospheric instability increases through the day.
Sea conditions
Marine conditions in the Arabian Gulf are expected to remain slight to moderate, though they may turn rough at times in association with cloud development and rising winds. The Sea of Oman is forecast to stay generally slight to moderate throughout the period.
Humidity levels will vary significantly, with coastal areas such as Fujairah and Liwa recording higher maximum levels reaching up to 85 percent, while inland regions may drop to around 20 percent at minimum.
