UAE, Pakistan hold talks on AI-driven policing and crime prevention
Saif bin Zayed, Mohsin Naqvi discuss security and anti-narcotics cooperation
ABU DHABI – Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met with Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan’s Minister of Interior and Counter-Narcotics, to reaffirm the robust historical ties between the UAE and Pakistan.
Both parties underlined the commitment of their leaderships to strengthening cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in combating drugs and transnational organised crime. Regional and international issues of shared concern were also discussed, with particular attention given to improving security coordination and the exchange of expertise.
Focus on AI technology
Discussions highlighted the role of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, in addressing security challenges. The two sides agreed on the importance of leveraging such innovations to bolster national and regional stability.

The high-level meeting was attended by senior UAE officials including Major General Salem Ali Al Shamsi, Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Brigadier Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, and Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi, along with the accompanying Pakistani delegation.
During their visit, Mohsin Naqvi and his delegation toured the Ministry of Interior’s operations facilities. They were briefed on the customer visit monitoring room and the systems in place to evaluate police services, enhance staff performance, and ensure delivery of high-quality policing solutions.
