Fireworks, drones and skydivers to light up the grand reopening
DUBAI – Global Village is returning for its milestone 30th season, and visitors arriving in Dubai this month are in for a treat – free entry for 10 days.
Starting from Wednesday, October 15, travellers holding a visa featuring the special Global Village Season 30 stamp can enjoy complimentary admission once within 10 days of the grand opening.
The initiative, launched in collaboration with the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs Dubai (GDRFA Dubai), aims to celebrate three decades of bringing cultures together in one vibrant destination. From October 15, all visas issued from Dubai will carry the Global Village Season 30 logo, and visitors arriving in the UAE will receive a passport entry stamp featuring the same design – a keepsake marking the anniversary season.
How to redeem
The process to claim free entry is simple. Travellers must ensure that the Global Village stamp is placed next to the Dubai entry stamp in their passports. The offer allows one-time access to Global Village, valid for any day within the first ten days following the reopening.
This special promotion aligns with Dubai’s vision to enhance visitor experiences from the moment they arrive.
Grand opening plans
Global Village officially reopens its doors on Wednesday, October 15, promising a spectacular night filled with entertainment and excitement. The opening celebrations will feature The Parade of the World, led by Retumbar street drummers and representatives from all participating pavilions.
As night falls, visitors can expect a breathtaking drone and pyrotechnic display, lighting up the sky with a glowing ‘30’ in celebration of the landmark season. Adding to the thrill, wing-suited skydivers will soar through the illuminated skies, trailing fire and light, followed by a laser show at Dragon Lake and live cultural performances.
At 9pm, 600 drones will take to the sky once again, unveiling welcoming messages before the first fireworks display of the season bursts over the park, setting the tone for a festive and vibrant opening week.
Global Village 30th Season
Global Village has grown from a modest pop-up attraction near Dubai Creek into a world-class entertainment and cultural hub, now spanning over 17.2 million square feet in Dubailand’s Wadi Al Safa 4. The 30th anniversary season promises an expanded line-up of shows, new attractions, and international performances celebrating global cultures.
Last year’s season featured 30 pavilions representing 90 cultures, and this year, even more experiences are expected to join the roster. From unique street food and artisanal crafts to international shopping and thrilling rides, the destination remains one of Dubai’s most loved family attractions.
Global Village will run from October 15 to May 10, opening daily from 6pm. Travellers with the Global Village Season 30 visa stamp can redeem their one-time free entry at the gate within the first ten days of the season.
