Eid Al Etihad 2025: Sharjah unveils 14-day festival of music, heritage and parades
New additions and first-time venues joining this year’s programme
SHARJAH – Sharjah is preparing for one of its biggest Eid Al Etihad programmes yet, with festivities stretching from 19 November to 2 December 2025.
Marking the UAE’s 54th Union Day, the emirate will host cultural shows, heritage markets, musical performances and community events featuring residents of all ages.
The celebrations, spread across city landmarks and eastern region towns, highlight the values of unity and national pride that continue to shape the UAE’s identity. From waterfront events and desert displays to musical nights at an iconic amphitheatre, the two-week schedule brings together tradition, creativity and community spirit.
Main venues and opening day
Four major locations will anchor this year’s celebrations: Al Siyouh Family Park, Kshisha Park, Sharjah National Park and Al Layyah Canal.
Al Siyouh Family Park will host the official opening ceremony at 5pm on 19 November, launching a line-up of folk performances, youth panels, community shows and competitions. Festivities will run at the venue every day until 2 December.
Daily activities at Kshisha Park will bring families together through traditional performances, children’s shows, workshops and cultural competitions. Sharjah National Park meanwhile will expand its role this year, transforming into a community village offering heritage displays, craft stations, youth discussions, food stalls and platforms for poets, artists and students. The venue will also welcome people of determination, productive families and youth groups.
Al Layyah Canal joins the programme for the first time. From 28 November to 2 December, visitors can explore national performances, children’s workshops, small-business stalls and projects from young innovators at the waterfront promenade.
Musical Night in Khorfakkan
One of the most anticipated events of the schedule is the musical evening at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on 29 November. Emirati stars Hussain Al Jassmi and Fouad Abdelwahad will take the stage for a patriotic performance expected to draw large crowds. The open-air venue, overlooking the mountains and the sea, will add a dramatic backdrop to the celebration.
Festivities across central and eastern regions
Sharjah’s towns and suburbs will host their own unique activities, each reflecting local culture and traditions.
Al Batayeh will hold parades and folk performances from 27 to 29 November, accompanied by a “Union Bus” distributing gifts and flags to residents.
Al Dhaid will run its celebrations from 26 to 30 November, featuring a major parade, a heritage market, cultural shows and local food stalls at Al Dhaid Fort.
Al Hamriyah will activate its Heritage Village from 20 to 22 November with traditional songs, crafts, sports activities and a classic car exhibition along the creek.
In Kalba, the annual operetta will begin on 22 November, followed by fireworks, parades and water-sports competitions along the city’s coastline.
Wadi Al Helo will host poetry recitals, student shows and community competitions on 23 November, highlighting the town’s cultural heritage.
Khorfakkan will present the operetta “Pulse of the Nation” on 21 November, alongside youth gatherings, folk performances and a robotics exhibition.
In Dibba Al Hisn, residents can enjoy a national parade and fireworks display on 22 November, followed by traditional dances.
Al Khrous will join the festivities on 28 November with parades involving schools and government departments.
Al Madam will focus on cultural films, heritage attire competitions and community discussions from 22 to 23 November.
Mleiha will celebrate on 20 and 21 November with military bands, folk shows, poetry readings, recycling workshops and cultural displays in a heritage village set against desert landscapes.
At Mughaider Suburb, Al Rifa’a Park will become the centre of activity on 21 and 22 November, featuring a bicycle parade, cultural shows, family-business stalls and K9 police demonstrations.
Eid Al Etihad in Sharjah
Sharjah’s programme reflects its commitment to inclusive celebrations, ensuring that residents across the emirate take part in the 54th Eid Al Etihad. Events are curated to showcase the UAE’s heritage, highlight innovation and reinforce the values of loyalty, unity and community. The schedule also aligns with the “Year of Community”, encouraging stronger social ties and deeper engagement with cultural identity.
Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Committee for the 54th UAE National Day Celebrations, extended congratulations to the UAE leadership and expressed appreciation to government bodies supporting the extensive programme. He noted the importance of continuous development in national celebrations as the UAE moves forward with confidence and ambition.
