UAE-Thailand travel: flydubai doubles Bangkok flights as demand surges during summer travel season
Codeshare with Emirates expands access to more than 240 destinations
DUBAI – Dubai-based carrier flydubai will introduce a second daily service between Dubai and Bangkok from this Saturday (July 18), responding to strong demand for its recently launched route to Thailand's capital.
The move comes less than three weeks after the airline began daily operations to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) on July 1. The increased frequency is expected to provide passengers with greater flexibility during the peak summer travel season while strengthening Dubai's links with one of Southeast Asia's busiest destinations.
With the additional Bangkok service and the planned increase of flights to Krabi from four weekly services to daily operations, flydubai will operate up to 21 weekly flights to Thailand.
Dubai to Bangkok
Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, said the decision follows encouraging demand since the launch of the Bangkok route. He noted that Don Mueang International Airport offers convenient access to central Bangkok, making it an attractive option for travellers looking to maximise their time in the city during the busy summer period.

He added that the extra daily service would provide customers with more travel options and flexibility while reinforcing flydubai's commitment to enhancing connectivity and supporting Dubai's position as a leading international aviation hub.
The airline has also continued expanding its international network beyond Thailand. It recently launched flights to Benghazi in Libya and is set to begin services to Aleppo in Syria from July 20, followed by Pokhara in Nepal from September 23.

Passengers travelling on flydubai's Boeing 737 fleet can benefit from upgraded cabin interiors introduced as part of the airline's retrofit programme. Business Class features lie-flat seats, while Economy Class offers ergonomically designed seating.
