DUBAIAir India and Air India Express have cancelled their flights to and from Dubai for the day after operations at Dubai International Airport were temporarily suspended.

The airlines confirmed that all scheduled services connecting Dubai with destinations across their network would not operate due to the halt in flight movements at the airport. Passengers booked on the affected flights have been notified as airlines moved to implement contingency measures.

Airlines said teams are working to assist travellers while offering flexible options to reduce disruption to passenger plans.

Flight disruption

The suspension of flight operations at Dubai International Airport triggered immediate cancellations for Air India and Air India Express services operating to and from the city.

The airlines said the cancellations were necessary due to unavoidable operational constraints linked to the airport closure.

Dubai International Airport is among the world’s busiest aviation hubs, handling large volumes of international traffic every day. Any temporary halt in operations typically affects numerous airlines and thousands of passengers travelling through the airport.

Air India and Air India Express said they would continue monitoring the situation and update passengers as flight movements resume.

Passenger options

Passengers whose travel plans have been disrupted have been offered flexible options without additional charges.

Affected travellers may choose to rebook their journey for a later date or cancel their booking and receive a full refund.

The airlines said the move is intended to provide travellers with flexibility while normal operations remain suspended at the airport.

Passengers have been advised to check flight updates and contact the airlines’ support teams for assistance before proceeding to the airport.

Other operations

Despite the disruption in Dubai, Air India Express confirmed that its ad-hoc flight operations from other UAE airports will continue as previously announced.

Flights operating to and from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah remain scheduled and are not impacted by the suspension at Dubai International Airport.

The airline said its teams remain focused on supporting affected travellers and assisting stranded passengers so they can complete their journeys as soon as possible.

Air India passengers seeking assistance may contact the airline’s 24-hour customer support lines at +91 11693 29333 or +91 11693 29999.
