DUBAI – Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is marking two decades of service with a month-long celebration packed with exclusive offers, surprises and activities for residents and visitors alike.
Running from late October to early November, the anniversary will see Metro and bus stations across the city transformed into festive spaces featuring giveaways, themed installations, and rewards for passengers.
Since its establishment in 2005, the RTA has been at the heart of Dubai’s transport evolution – connecting millions of commuters each day through its Metro, tram, bus and marine networks. To thank the public for their support, RTA is launching a series of experiences that combine fun, nostalgia and rewards.
Limited edition nol cards
One of the most anticipated highlights is the launch of limited-edition 20th anniversary nol cards, available from November 1 to 30 at Dubai Metro ticket vending machines and kiosks.
These commemorative cards celebrate RTA’s journey and make for an ideal collector’s item for travellers and residents who use public transport daily.
Entertainment and cashback
From November 1 to 5, movie lovers can enjoy a 20% discount at Roxy Cinemas by using the code RTA20, making it the perfect excuse to catch the latest blockbuster. Online shoppers haven’t been left out either – Noon is offering 20% cashback on all purchases made during the same period using the same promo code.
For tram riders, the Tram x The Entertainer collaboration continues until November 2, giving commuters the chance to win The Entertainer UAE 2026, which includes over 10,000 2-for-1 offers across restaurants, attractions and leisure activities.
Interactive experiences
Tourists arriving at Dubai International Airport between October 28 and November 1 can join the Tourist Photo Challenge, where participants receive a welcome pack and could see their pictures featured on RTA’s social media pages.
Adding a creative twist to the celebration, RTA will set up an art frame and digital photobooth at BurJuman Metro Station on November 1, open from 9am to 5pm. Commuters can capture memorable moments and take home a fun keepsake to mark the event.
Gifts and giveaways
The excitement peaks on November 1 with the 20-Second Gift Grab, where participants will have just 20 seconds to collect as many prizes as possible. The event runs at Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from 9am to 11am and at Insurance Market Metro Station from 11am to 1pm. Prizes range from electronics to chocolates, ensuring surprises for all ages.
Emirates NBD will also join the celebration with dedicated kiosks at BurJuman, Union and Mall of the Emirates Metro Stations between November 1 and 15. Visitors can enjoy giveaways and learn about the Go4it Card, which combines nol and banking features into one convenient card.
Across several key locations – including BurJuman Metro, Onpassive Metro, Sobha Realty Tram, Insurance Market Metro and Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Centre – RTA teams will spread cheer with balloons and giveaways starting November 1.
A citywide celebration
The anniversary month coincides with Dubai’s national season of festivities, beginning with UAE Flag Day on November 3 and continuing through the Dubai Fitness Challenge, bringing added energy to the city’s November calendar.
