ABU DHABI -- The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place from 3rd to 6th December at Yas Marina Circuit, bringing the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship season to a close.

The emirate is preparing for the four-day event with a programme combining high-speed racing, entertainment, concerts and hospitality experiences across Yas Island. Preparations are progressing for the season finale, with Abu Dhabi set to welcome Formula 1 fans, teams and drivers from around the world.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula One, said preparations for the Abu Dhabi season finale are progressing according to plan, reaffirming the championship's commitment to the scheduled calendar.

He said Abu Dhabi is preparing to host the final round in an exceptional atmosphere, with a packed programme of events and experiences planned alongside the race.

The event has been held in Abu Dhabi since 2009, establishing the emirate as a regular destination on the Formula 1 calendar and one of the championship's prominent season-ending venues.

Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani, Under-Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, said the emirate's hosting of Formula 1 since 2009 reflects its global standing and ability to attract major international sporting events.

He said the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix contributes to strengthening Abu Dhabi's appeal as a global destination while supporting the tourism, hospitality and events sectors. The race also attracts visitors from international markets, bringing Formula 1 followers to the emirate for the final round of the championship.

The event will centre on Yas Marina Circuit, where the 2026 season will reach its scheduled conclusion. Beyond the track, visitors will have access to a range of entertainment and hospitality experiences taking place across Yas Island during the Grand Prix weekend.

Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO of Ethara, said preparations for the race are progressing well, highlighting cooperation with Formula 1 and partners across the emirate.

He said the work is focused on delivering an exceptional experience for fans, teams and drivers attending the season finale.
