AJMAN – Planning a visit to Ajman now comes with a compelling addition as the emirate has opened all its museums to the public free of charge, offering residents and tourists the chance to explore its heritage without ticket costs.
The initiative, introduced by the Department of Tourism Development, will remain in effect until the end of 2026.
The move is part of a wider push to enhance Ajman’s appeal as a cultural destination. By removing entry fees, authorities aim to encourage more visitors to discover the emirate’s history while making trips more accessible and cost-effective.
Museum access
Visitors can now enter all museums across Ajman without paying any admission fees. These cultural sites highlight the emirate’s traditions, historical evolution and maritime roots, making them a key stop for anyone exploring the destination.
With free access in place for an extended period, travellers have the flexibility to plan visits at their convenience. The initiative is expected to increase footfall and deepen engagement with Ajman’s heritage offerings.
Visitor incentives
The free museum entry forms part of a broader incentives package approved under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman. The programme includes fee deferrals and waivers for tourism-related businesses, aimed at improving services and strengthening the sector.
Recent figures point to rising interest in the emirate, with more than 88,000 guest arrivals recorded between March 1 and April 21, 2026. Officials attribute this growth to ongoing initiatives designed to enhance visitor experiences and attract new audiences.
