DUBAI – The SAMANA Developers has pledged Dh15 million in support of the Edge of Life campaign, a global humanitarian initiative launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The campaign seeks to raise at least Dh1 billion to fund sustainable programmes aimed at combating childhood hunger worldwide.

Focused on saving five million children from hunger, the campaign is run under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and operates in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and Action Against Hunger.

The initiative targets children in the world’s most vulnerable communities. Current statistics reveal that five children under the age of five die every minute from malnutrition and hunger globally, highlighting the urgent need for collective action.

SAMANA Developers’ CEO, Imran Farooq, said, “Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Edge of Life campaign reflects His Highness’s vision of prioritising the fight against hunger as a global humanitarian imperative. This campaign reinforces the UAE’s leadership in humanitarian efforts.”
