Free parking and limited services announced for 27 June public holiday
DUBAI authorities have released official updates for the Islamic New Year (Hijri 1447 AH), which will be observed on Friday, 27 June 2025.
The holiday marks the beginning of the new Islamic lunar calendar year and brings several adjustments across government services, public transportation, and parking regulations in the emirate.
To ensure a smooth experience for both residents and travellers, major government entities such as the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai) and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have issued detailed guidelines regarding operational hours and service availability across the city.
