DUBAI – The Dubai Airshow 2025 delivered a landmark achievement for the UAE’s aviation and aerospace ambitions, setting a new record with deals exceeding USD202 billion, nearly double the USD101 billion secured in 2023.

The event reinforced Dubai’s growing influence as a global aviation hub and a leading platform shaping the future of aerospace, defence, and space technologies.

Over five days, the 19th edition attracted 248,788 visitors, including industry leaders, decision makers, and specialists from 115 countries.

Record participation

This edition featured more than 1,500 exhibitors, of which 440 participated for the first time, representing emerging and established market players. It also hosted 490 military and civil delegations, 21 national pavilions, 98 chalets and an expanded display area of 8,000 square metres.

Further supporting innovation, the show included 120 startups and 50 investors, reinforcing its role as a launchpad for new technologies and global partnerships.

Major aircraft orders

Among the largest deals, Emirates placed orders worth $41.4 billion for 65 Boeing 777-9 and eight Airbus A350-900 aircraft, bringing its total wide-body orders to 375, with deliveries planned through 2038.

Flydubai signed a memorandum of understanding with Boeing to purchase 75 Boeing 737 MAX jets valued at $13 billion, backing Dubai’s long-term vision for aviation sector growth.

Space innovation

Marking its strongest presence yet, the Space Pavilion – organised in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency – hosted its biggest delegation to date.

A two-day Space Conference featured more than 50 astronauts and experts, who discussed commercial space technologies, industry challenges, and global collaboration opportunities. The pavilion highlighted the UAE’s ambition to become a leading force in space innovation and exploration.

Green technologies

The event placed sustainability at the forefront, spotlighting initiatives such as using sustainable aviation fuel for participating aircraft, deploying electric and propane-powered ground support equipment through partnerships with Jetex, and operating exhibition halls entirely on renewable energy. These measures showcased the industry’s commitment to decarbonisation and greener skies.

Seamless operations

Efficient coordination by Team Dubai, comprising multiple government entities, ensured enhanced visitor movement and strong operational performance, further demonstrating the emirate’s capability in staging large-scale global events.

Under the theme ‘The Future is Here’, the Dubai Airshow 2025 shaped major trends in aviation, defence, and space, paving the way for further advances when the next edition returns in November 2027.
