UAE shoots down fresh wave of Iranian missiles, situation remains under control
Debris reported across several Abu Dhabi areas
ABU DHABI – The UAE’s air defence systems successfully intercepted a new wave of Iranian missiles targeting the country, the Ministry of Defence announced on Saturday.
Officials confirmed the operation was carried out with high efficiency and without any reported damage or casualties.
Authorities said the country remains on full alert while monitoring developments closely across all sectors.
Successful interception
According to the ministry, the incoming missiles were neutralised before they could reach their intended targets. Debris from the intercepted projectiles fell in several areas of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, Khalifa City, Bani Yas, Mohammed bin Zayed City and Al Falah. Officials confirmed no injuries were reported in any of the locations.

The ministry reiterated its full readiness to confront any threats that could undermine the country’s security and stability.
Public warning
The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority confirmed the situation remains under control and is being monitored around the clock.
Authorities urged residents to stay away from any debris or suspicious objects and avoid approaching or photographing such materials so specialised teams can handle them safely.
Nationwide readiness
Officials across the UAE emphasised that operational systems in vital sectors are functioning at full readiness.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office said the emirate’s internal situation remains stable, while the Government of Ajman Media Office also confirmed comprehensive precautionary measures are in place.
Authorities again called on the public to rely solely on official sources and avoid spreading rumours as monitoring continues nationwide.
