Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi sets new Guinness World Record with 55 waterslides
New attractions expand the park’s thrilling aquatic experiences
ABU DHABI – Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi has officially achieved a Guinness World Records title for the most waterslides in a waterpark, featuring a record-breaking collection of 55 slides.
The milestone was celebrated during a ceremony at the waterpark, where senior officials received the official recognition certificate. The achievement follows the latest expansion of the attraction, adding more experiences to one of the region’s leading water entertainment destinations.
During the ceremony, Dr Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, and Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, officially received the Guinness World Records certificate from Hanane Spiers, Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator for the MENA region and Türkiye.
Record achievement

The record-breaking title follows the waterpark’s recent expansion, which introduced 11 new rides, slides and attractions, further enhancing its Lost City theme inspired by The Legend of the Lost Pearl. Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi now features more than 70 rides, slides and attractions, with the 55 waterslides forming the centrepiece of its guest experience.
New attractions
The latest additions include a range of high-adrenaline experiences, from the soaring Matamir’s Drop, the UAE’s tallest waterslide, to fast-paced racing slides and interactive water adventures.
These attractions combine modern technology with the park’s Emirati-inspired storytelling, creating immersive experiences for visitors of different ages.
