DUBAI: JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai has been named the Top Meeting Hotel in the Middle East & Africa by Cvent, a leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider.

The announcement forms part of Cvent’s annual global lists, which spotlight hotels that deliver top-tier MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) experiences across key regions.

Recognised for its exceptional service, custom event offerings, and planner-focused strategies, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai stood out from thousands of properties sourced through the Cvent Supplier Network—one of the largest venue-sourcing platforms in the world. The ranking reflects robust RFP (Request for Proposal) activity and strategic online engagement, which continues to drive the hotel’s visibility among global event planners.

MICE landmark

Situated in Downtown Dubai, the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel has long been a pillar in the region’s hospitality sector. As one of the world’s tallest five-star hotels, it boasts 1,608 guest rooms spread across two soaring towers. The property offers more than 80,000 square feet of flexible event space, featuring 32 meeting rooms, a grand ballroom, and a selection of scenic outdoor venues.

Since its opening in 2012, the hotel has set new benchmarks for large-scale events and corporate gatherings in the UAE. Its central location – just 20 minutes from Dubai International Airport – combined with state-of-the-art infrastructure makes it a preferred choice for business and leisure visitors alike.

Versatile spaces

The property is equipped to host everything from global summits and industry conventions to weddings and private celebrations. The Dubai Ballroom, which can be divided into three separate spaces, allows for a range of configurations. For open-air events, three rooftop venues offer panoramic skyline views, ideal for evening receptions and sunset ceremonies.

Each event is backed by a dedicated team of professionals, including expert planners and culinary staff. Custom F&B options and seamless on-site coordination ensure a smooth experience for both hosts and attendees.

Industry endorsement

Cvent Vice President of Hospitality Cloud, Graham Pope, commented on the significance of the ranking: “Achieving a spot on the Cvent Top Meeting Hotels list is a prestigious honour that highlights a hotel's ability to engage planners and deliver superior MICE and corporate event experiences. In today’s competitive environment, hotels must prioritise planner needs and ensure fast, thoughtful responses to stand out.”

He added, “The properties recognised this year have set a high standard for excellence. Congratulations to JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai on this outstanding accomplishment.”

Selection methodology

Cvent evaluated properties that generated business through the Cvent Supplier Network from January to December 2024. Rankings were based on multiple criteria, including total RFPs received, awarded RFPs, room nights booked, market share in major metropolitan areas, conversion rates, and response efficiency. These metrics aim to reflect the true performance of top MICE hotels across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific region.
