UAE weather: Humid mornings, patchy clouds and rain chances linger until Tuesday
Coastal and internal areas to see higher humidity levels
DUBAI – The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast humid and changeable weather conditions across the UAE from Friday through Tuesday, with residents advised to expect misty mornings, variable cloud cover and the possibility of isolated rainfall.
According to the official outlook, humidity levels will be noticeable during the early hours, especially across coastal and internal areas, creating conditions favourable for mist or light fog formation. Visibility may be reduced at times during these periods, particularly around sunrise.
As the day progresses, conditions are expected to improve slightly, turning fair to partly cloudy across much of the country. However, the NCM has indicated that low clouds may develop over eastern and northern regions, increasing the likelihood of scattered rain in isolated locations. These weather changes reflect ongoing atmospheric instability affecting parts of the region, leading to brief but localised weather activity.
Morning humidity
Humidity is expected to remain a defining feature of the forecast period. The NCM noted that early morning hours will be particularly humid, with moisture levels building overnight. Coastal belts and internal regions are most likely to experience mist or light fog, while urban centres may also see hazy conditions before temperatures rise later in the morning.
Clouds and rain
Cloud formation is expected to vary throughout the day, with partly cloudy skies dominating most areas. Low cloud build-up over the east and north may bring brief spells of light rainfall, though these are expected to be scattered rather than widespread. The NCM has not issued warnings for heavy rain, indicating that any precipitation will be limited in duration and coverage.
Winds and seas
Winds will generally be light to moderate, shifting between north-westerly, south-easterly and north-easterly directions. At times, wind speeds may increase, reaching up to 35 km/h, particularly during the afternoon. Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, with periods of easing expected.
The NCM also reported that temperatures are likely to see a slight rise on Sunday, while overall conditions will continue to fluctuate between humid mornings and fair to partly cloudy days through Tuesday.
