DUBAI – The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast a mix of sun and clouds across the UAE on Saturday, 21 March 2026, with light to moderate rain expected over scattered areas.
The northern and eastern regions, as well as Al Ain, may experience heavier showers during the day. Light to moderate winds will occasionally strengthen, raising dust and reducing visibility for motorists.
The Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain mostly calm, though conditions could become choppy during periods of cloud activity. This week marks a period of atmospheric instability affecting the country, predicted to last until Saturday, 28 March.

Cloud formations will flow from the west, resulting in cumulus cells developing over scattered areas intermittently. These clouds may bring rainfall of varying intensity, with occasional lightning and thunder, and the possibility of hail in limited locations.
Daily forecasts include:
- Saturday: Light to moderate rain, heavier in northern, eastern regions and Al Ain.
- Sunday: Continued cumulus cloud activity with variable rain intensity, especially across northern and eastern Emirates and Al Ain.
- Monday-Tuesday: Persistent cloud formation and rain over most areas of the UAE.
- Wednesday: Clouds continue with occasional rain in some northern and eastern areas.
- Thursday-Saturday: Intermittent cumulus clouds bring scattered showers with variable intensity.

Winds are expected to remain light to moderate but may strengthen during periods of cloud activity, occasionally raising dust and sand, particularly in exposed areas. The seas in the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman will be light to moderate, occasionally rough during cloud development.
