SHARJAH – The 57th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show opens today at Expo Centre Sharjah, marking the start of one of the region’s largest and most influential exhibitions dedicated to luxury jewellery and timepieces.
Organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event runs until 14 June and brings together 400 local and international exhibitors representing 19 countries.
This year’s exhibition features strong global participation, including a number of first-time exhibitors, alongside leading gold and jewellery manufacturers, renowned designers, luxury watchmakers and internationally recognised brands specialising in diamonds, gemstones and high-end jewellery collections.
The five-day event is expected to attract thousands of visitors from across the UAE and abroad, reinforcing its position as a key meeting point for the global jewellery trade. The previous edition welcomed more than 91,000 visitors, highlighting the exhibition’s growing international profile and the confidence it continues to enjoy among exhibitors, investors, industry professionals and luxury consumers.
Global presence
Participating countries include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon and Yemen, as well as China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the United States.
A major attraction of this year’s event is the presence of five dedicated international pavilions representing Hong Kong, India, Italy, Singapore and Thailand. These pavilions provide visitors and buyers with direct access to the latest international design trends, exclusive collections and premium products from some of the world’s leading jewellery and watchmaking markets.
Spanning more than 30,000 square metres, the exhibition offers an extensive showcase of luxury products, ranging from diamond jewellery and premium gold collections to platinum, silver and coloured gemstones. Visitors can also explore pearls, luxury watches, laboratory-grown diamonds, precious metals and advanced technologies used in jewellery manufacturing and packaging.
Exclusive creations
Exhibitors are unveiling limited-edition collections and artistic masterpieces inspired by diverse cultural influences. Many of the showcased pieces feature rare materials and gemstones, including gold, emeralds, rubies and opals, underlining the event’s reputation as a platform for craftsmanship, innovation and luxury.
The exhibition also serves as a venue for international brands to introduce new collections and strengthen connections with regional buyers and industry stakeholders.
Local talent
Among the event’s key highlights is the Emirates Jewellers Platform, a strategic initiative designed to support and promote Emirati talent within the gold and jewellery sector.
The platform presents a carefully selected collection of works by Emirati designers, demonstrating their ability to combine authentic national heritage with contemporary international design trends. Participants are being given the opportunity to showcase new creations and innovations to thousands of visitors, buyers and industry specialists attending the exhibition.
Beyond its extensive display of jewellery and watches, the exhibition is enhancing visitor engagement through exclusive promotional campaigns and prize draws. Attendees can enter raffles for significant gold and diamond prizes, adding an additional attraction to an event that brings together luxury retail, industry innovation and consumer experiences under one roof.
