SHARJAH – Sharjah is hosting the 57th Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show (WJMES), bringing together leading local and international jewellery houses showcasing rare pieces. Among the standout attractions is a gold dress by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery, making its debut at the exhibition.

The piece weighs more than 10 kilogrammes of 21-karat pure gold and is valued at Dh5 million and is recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s most expensive gold dress. It is being displayed for the first time at Expo Centre Sharjah, drawing significant visitor attention as a symbol of luxury craftsmanship.

The exhibition continues to highlight record-breaking creations and exclusive launches across the luxury jewellery sector.

The UAE-manufactured creation has quickly become one of the most visited highlights of the event, reflecting the scale and ambition of the regional jewellery industry. Presented by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery, the dress showcases more than 10kg of finely worked 21-karat gold, combining intricate craftsmanship with high-value artistry. Visitors at Expo Centre Sharjah have been gathering in large numbers to view the piece up close, with strong interest in its detailing and structural design.

As a Guinness World Records-listed creation, it further reinforces the UAE’s growing reputation for producing landmark luxury items that merge tradition with modern innovation. The company has also used the exhibition platform to introduce a range of newly launched jewellery collections aimed at strengthening its position in the premium segment.

Record-breaking pieces

The exhibition is also hosting a series of artistic and record-setting displays from participating jewellery houses. Salem Al-Shueibi Jewellery has unveiled the “Aura Mosa” collection in collaboration with Emirati designer Shamma Al Hallami, alongside more than 500 newly introduced diamond designs and selections from its “Sheikha Hind” collection.

Arabian Gold & Diamond is presenting internationally recognised creations, including the “Union Frame”, a detailed jewellery artwork incorporating landmarks from all seven emirates. The company is also showcasing the world’s largest mirror and a record-holding “Mertasha” jewellery piece, both reflecting large-scale artistic ambition and technical precision in design.

Luxury lines

Jawhara Jewellery is contributing a wide selection of high-end creations, led by its “Palm” Collection crafted in 18-karat gold and set with natural diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires. The collection has recorded strong demand and remains one of the brand’s most recognised offerings.

The company is also presenting exclusive pearl jewellery pieces alongside bespoke diamond bridal sets, each produced as a single, one-of-a-kind design. This limited-production approach enhances exclusivity and appeals to affluent buyers seeking highly personalised luxury items.

Across the exhibition floor, visitors continued exploring a broad mix of gold, diamond and gemstone collections reflecting evolving trends in the regional luxury jewellery market.
