UAE-Kuwait week celebrations take over iconic city landmarks
DUBAI – Dubai’s skyline is set for a series of dazzling fireworks displays this week as UAE-Kuwait Week celebrations roll out across the emirate.
Several of the city’s most recognisable destinations have confirmed free-to-view shows, giving residents and visitors multiple chances to enjoy large-scale displays without an entry fee at most locations.
Here are three confirmed fireworks shows taking place in Dubai over the coming days.
Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab will take part in UAE-Kuwait Week celebrations with a mix of light installations and fireworks. The iconic sail-shaped hotel will first be illuminated with a special blue lighting display on Thursday, January 29, and Friday, January 30, visible from SAL and surrounding public areas.
The main fireworks display will follow on Wednesday, February 4, starting at 9pm, with the show visible from outside the hotel premises.
Dubai Festival City Mall
Dubai Festival City Mall, a regular venue for large-scale celebrations, will host a waterfront fireworks display as part of UAE-Kuwait Week.
The show is scheduled for Thursday, January 29, at 9pm, and will be visible from various public areas around the promenade.
Global Village
Global Village will stage a special fireworks display on Saturday, January 31, at 9pm, marking Hag Al Laila celebrations. A themed drone show will follow the next evening at 9.05pm.
The destination will also continue its regular fireworks shows on Tuesdays and Fridays during the season. Entry ticket costs Dh25.
