DUBAI – Absolute Hotel Services Middle East & Africa (AHS MEA) has signed a landmark management agreement with EGYGAB Developments for the operation of U Hotels at Masaya, a lifestyle resort on Egypt’s North Coast.

Located in Sidi Abdelrahman, the agreement brings one of AHS’s signature brands to a destination rapidly rising in prominence among regional and international travellers.

Resort development

The deal covers the management of a 108-key hotel, 82 branded residences, and seven luxury villas, making U Masaya the first fully integrated resort on the North Coast to operate entirely under an international five-star brand. The development spans 30 acres and is already 80 per cent complete. With its master plan designed to maximise nature-inspired living, almost every unit within Masaya enjoys uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean.

Strategic partnership

Kevork Deldelian, CEO of AHS MEA, highlighted the significance of the agreement: “Partnering with EGYGAB on the Masaya project is a key milestone in our regional expansion strategy and reflects our confidence in Egypt as a priority market. The North Coast is emerging as one of the most promising resort corridors in the region, and Masaya represents the ideal fit for our U Hotels brand.”

EGYGAB’s Chairman, Eng. Mohamed Gaballah, underlined the collaboration’s impact, stating: “This partnership marks a new chapter for Masaya, positioning it as the first fully integrated resort on Egypt’s North Coast managed under an international five-star brand. It aligns with our vision to maximise value for our clients and directly supports Egypt’s 2030 tourism strategy.”

Global expansion

Beyond the North Coast, both companies are exploring further opportunities to collaborate in Egypt, combining hospitality, sustainability and community-led living. The move also strengthens AHS’s global portfolio, cementing its role as a trusted partner for high-profile hospitality projects.

Bangkok-based Absolute Hotel Services is one of Asia’s fastest-growing hospitality groups, with its Middle East and Africa subsidiary driving expansion across the region. EGYGAB, meanwhile, brings more than 45 years of real estate expertise and a reputation for innovation and design to the project.
