DUBAIEmirates has confirmed it is operating a reduced flight schedule following the partial reopening of regional airspace, as the carrier continues to monitor developments and adjust operations accordingly.

The update highlights ongoing disruptions while reaffirming that passenger and crew safety remains the airline’s top priority. The airline has urged travellers to stay informed, noting that schedules may change at short notice as the situation evolves.

The Dubai-based carrier stated that while some services have resumed, overall operations remain limited. Passengers are advised to check flight status regularly, even after completing check-in procedures, and to review updates through official channels. The airline emphasised the importance of keeping contact details updated to receive notifications regarding delays, cancellations, or rescheduling.

Flight changes

Emirates noted that customers affected by disruptions will be rebooked on the next available flight where possible. This applies to most impacted tickets, including journeys that involve onward connections beyond Dubai. The airline is working to accommodate passengers across its network as capacity gradually returns.

Travellers with bookings between February 28 and May 31 have been offered flexible options. These include rebooking on an alternative flight to the same destination or another destination within the same region, provided travel is completed on or before June 15. Passengers who booked directly with Emirates can make changes through the airline, while those who used travel agents must contact their respective agents.

Flexible options

In addition to rebooking, passengers may request a refund for unused tickets. Emirates has advised customers to complete any rebooking process before applying for a refund, as unused segments within the same itinerary will automatically be cancelled and refunded. Refund requests can be submitted online for direct bookings or through travel agents for third-party reservations.

To provide added flexibility, Emirates is offering one complimentary date change for all bookings made from April 2 onwards. This applies across all cabin classes, although fare differences may apply depending on availability and ticket conditions. Changes must fall within the validity period of the original ticket.

Travel advisory

Passengers are encouraged to use the “Manage Your Booking” feature on the Emirates website or mobile application to review itinerary changes, accept revised flights, or select alternative options. The platform also allows travellers to update personal details, manage additional services such as seat selection and meals, and make multiple changes under the current travel waiver, which remains valid until May 31.

For bookings that cannot be modified online, Emirates has outlined several support channels. Customers may contact local Emirates offices, reach out to travel agents, or use live chat services. Retail support remains available at select locations, including the reservations and ticketing desk at Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport, Emirates World in Jumeirah Town Centre, and the Emirates Group Technology Centre in Deira.

The airline also confirmed that all city check-in facilities across Dubai are temporarily closed until further notice, as part of ongoing operational adjustments linked to the regional situation.
