DUBAI – Ajman’s real estate sector opened 2026 with high momentum, recording 1,520 property transactions worth Dh2.07 billion in January, according to figures released by the Ajman Real Estate Index.

The data reflects broad-based activity across sales, trading operations and mortgages throughout the emirate. Officials said the performance highlights sustained investor interest and expanding opportunities across multiple districts.

Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, said the market saw active sales across different property types during the month. He noted that investors continue to pursue opportunities across Ajman, supported by a growing range of development and ownership options.

Sales activity

Trading volume reached Dh1.39 billion through 1,284 trading operations recorded during January. Transactions covered residential units, land plots and real estate development projects distributed across established and emerging areas.

The highest individual sale value was recorded in Al Helio 2 at Dh34 million, marking the largest single property deal of the month. In the real estate development projects category, the top sale was registered in Al Zahra at Dh15 million, reflecting continued demand for project-based investments.

Mortgage deals

Mortgage registrations also showed notable strength during the month. A total of 174 mortgage transactions were recorded, with a combined value exceeding Dh484 million.

Liwara 1 recorded the highest mortgage value among all areas, with mortgages totalling Dh123.46 million. The figures point to continued reliance on property financing tools to support both individual buyers and larger investors entering the market.

Top locations

Project-level activity was led by Emirates City, which ranked first among the most traded major developments in January. It outperformed both City Towers and Ajman One, which followed next on the list of most actively traded projects.

At neighbourhood level, Al Helio 2 recorded the highest trading activity, reinforcing its position as a leading transaction zone during the month. It was followed by Al Zahia and Al Helio 1, both of which also logged significant deal volumes across property categories.
